I don't think I ever played golf with Stuart, though he would always ask me how my game was going. I do recall a story from the mid-70's when he was invited up to Bungay for a golfing weekend with his old mate Ed Bussey. He was aiming to take his girlfriend of that time, but found he couldn't get both her and the golf clubs into the Lotus; so he went on his own.
